HIIT, Yin, and Release with Richard Gartner

HIIT, Yin, and Release with Richard Gartner

Prepare, maximize, and wind down in meaningful and research-backed ways. In this workshop, we spend time preparing our joints and connective tissues, as well as priming our lymphatic system. HIIT routines have been shown to increase cardiac fitness and blood health. Yin Yoga helps release tight connective tissues and has been shown to decrease stress. After age 30, we begin to lose as much as 5% muscle mass per decade. We also lose bone density, elasticity and lymphatic flow. A thoughtful, well-designed routine can slow these processes down, and may reverse some. Richard has designed an exercise template that feels safe and effective for him, and has grounded this routine with six studies on exercise and aging.

Reviving Your Feet, Hands, and Face with Richard Gartner

Reviving Your Feet, Hands, and Face with Richard Gartner

In yoga, we often focus on large muscle groups and major joints in the torso—and for good reason. But sometimes the perimeter of the body needs a little attention too.

This workshop explores micro-asanas: subtle, targeted practices for the feet, hands, and face—areas we often overwork and overlook. Through mindful movement, gentle strengthening, and self-massage, we’ll bring awareness and care to these smaller (but mighty) parts of the body.

This workshop is ideal for anyone experiencing plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tension headaches, or repetitive stress issues, as well as for yogis who want to deepen their practice by refining awareness, sensation, and control. Expect to leave feeling more spacious, grounded, and connected from the edges inward.

However, when we try to apply them to our complex Western lives, the ideas seem out of reach.
